Management of Learning of Highly Accredited and Ranked Secondary Schools and Universities of ASEAN Countries During Covid – 19 Pandemic

Abstract

This research paper focused on the management of learning of secondary schools and universities that are highest in accreditation level and world ranking in selected ASEAN countries during the covid – 19 pandemic. Descriptive research design and appropriate statistics were employed. It was unveiled that there is a high availability of core elements of disrupted learning and communications to address different issues and concerns, frequent utilization of teacher and student-friendly learning tools, instructional planning elements and suitability of the digital learning resources for the management of learning. Furthermore, there is a significant difference in their Management of Learning among the schools and universities. Lastly, they encountered problems such as poor internet connection and online set up. It was concluded that; High availability of the core elements of disrupted learning and communications to address different issues and concerns, the frequent use of teacher and student-friendly learning tools, all instructional planning elements and suitability of the digital learning resources can lead to better management of learning; the Status of the Management of Learning of the schools differ with each other as perceived by the respondents; The most encountered problems are technological devices and set up for online distance learning. It was recommended that, Learning modalities and online learning facilities may be enhanced; More training and seminars related to the different learning modalities may be conducted; Institutions may have higher availability of the core elements of disrupted learning and communications to address different issues and concerns and more frequent use of teacher and student-friendly learning tools, all instructional planning elements and suitability of the digital learning resources; Schools may collaborate and may adopt some best practices; Schools may collaborate and strengthen the relationships with other agencies and LGUs in the identified areas having problems with internet and technical devices; lastly, the proposed plan of action for the management of learning may be implemented in various ASEAN countries.
